New MSD Boxmeer production facility in the finishing phase

The construction of the new MSD Animal Health production facility in Boxmeer (the Netherlands) is in the finishing phase. TCS supplied and erected the steel skeleton for the two main buildings and was also responsible for the stair towers, the pipe racks and the steel platforms.

MSD Animal Health develops and produces vaccines for farm animals. The new production facility in Boxmeer for sterile filling and freeze drying of vaccines, offers the company additional opportunities to meet growing demand.

Trusses prefabricated in the workshop

Three buildings are under construction: the production building (SFFD), a utility building (CUB) and a waste-water treatment building (WWTB). Safety on the site is one of the most important aspects of the project. “We work closely with the client to achieve the highest level of safety,” says Dirk Teuwen, Business Manager Steelworks at TCS. “For example, we discuss in detail the assembly activities and their impact. Incidentally, the twenty 6-meter-tall trusses for the main building were prefabricated in our workshop and transported to Boxmeer as one unit overnight. In this way we save time and avoid safety risks.”

See the construction video here . The project will be delivered in the fall of 2019.
